Leidos has a career opening for a Network Engineer located at Hurlburt Field, FL. Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered.
The job of the Network Engineer is to support the daily operations and upgrades of an Air Force Operations Center. Primary responsibility is to provide 24/7/365 network Engineering support and provide direction to staff consisting of integration, engineering, operations and maintenance of the multiple network systems to a Predator Operations Center and to assist technical solutions to real-time issues.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
This position Provides overall network engineering support for a broad range of networks that reside in the operations center, and work with networking staff across the RPA enterprise to resolve problems and recommend upgrades and network changes.
Full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.
Comprehensive knowledge of this technical field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
Complete daily assignments and tasks meeting defined best practices and operational workflow.
Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6
years' experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.
Experience designing, building and editing IP and networks.
Candidate must be knowledgeable with ATM networks and experience maintaining Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Ericsson/Marconi ATM switches and complete configuration changes, maintain system and troubleshoot problems and guide the Network technicians through changes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills in team environments and superior customer service skills.
Must hold a current Security Plus CE certification or attain this certification within 6 months of hire as required by DoD 8570.
Must have a TS/SCI security clearance.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Prior military experience is highly desirable and experience with Predator UAV operations center networking specifically.
Cisco classes or certification and familiarity with DoD cryptographic equipment (e.g. FASTLANE/TACLANE) is a plus.
