Engineer (SETA)

This full-time non-supervisory opportunity is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Work is performed in a typical office setting.
Job Summary: Possesses knowledge in the software, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering specialties. Ranges from general to broad knowledge in the particular field of engineering or technical specialization with in-depth understanding of the latest developments in the field. Capable of developing new & innovative applications of state of the art knowledge. Typical areas of engineering specialization include software, aeronautical, civil, electrical, mechanical & industrial. Duties for this labor category include but are not limited to the following areas of system &/or subsystem technical responsibilities: requirements definition, performance assessment, specification development, risk assessment/mitigation, computer-aided design/manufacturing tools, modeling/simulation, configuration/data management, product hardware & software testing, safety, quality assurance, logistics support, reliability & maintainability, & technology transfer/insertion.
Citizenship: U.S.
Security Clearance: Secret
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or higher. A minimum of 8 years' experience in related areas.
An Associate's degree and 10 years' experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Essential Duties:
Shall be required, with minimal guidance, to work independently on tasks and to exercise reasonable judgment in the execution of tasks and the selection of alternatives.
Provides requirements definition, performance assessment, specification development, risk assessment/mitigation, computer-aided design/manufacturing tools, modeling/simulation, configuration/data management, product hardware & software testing, safety, quality assurance, logistics support, reliability & maintainability, & technology transfer/insertion.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Ability to perform assignments in a particular functional discipline when specific objectives are stated and when the number of variables is limited.
Knowledge in the software, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering specialties ranging from general to broad knowledge in the particular field of engineering or technical specialization with in-depth understanding of the latest developments in the field.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
