EXECUTIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST


Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. In order to qualify, you must meet the SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of Specialized experience is described as conducting comprehensive organizational analysis of work processes, providing innovative and expert analysis to improve resource effectiveness, developing tracking metrics and advises senior leadership on recommended courses of action on a broad variety of topics related to the installation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of staff operations management concepts, principles, and methodologies. 2. Knowledge of various command entities involved in overall planning and execution of installation mission support operations. 3. Skill in basic analytical ability to discern short, medium and long-term effects of changes in staff operations practices, procedures and policies, and to effectively analyze the various components of staff operations as part of an integrated whole. 4. Ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships. 5. Knowledge of command structure, programs and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones and methods of evaluating and planning actions as related to actual events. Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
