Supervisory Recreation Assistant

Position serves as the Assistant Outdoor Recreation Complex Manager for the Outdoor Recreation (ODR) and works directly for the ODR Director. Position will assist ODR Director in the overall operation and supervision of the Marina Complex consisting of Equipment Rental, Outdoor Rec Maintenance, Recreation Areas, Base Pool, Rifle and Pistol Club, Skeet Range, Dive Shop, Paintball, Storage Lots, FamCamp & Equipment Loan. Position shares responsibility for the oversight of these facilities to include internal controls, personnel supervision, auxiliary training & facility management. Ensures all established operation instructions are adhered to IAW all AFI's, local laws, manuals & operating instructions. Works with Coast Guard and FWC officials to ensure adherence to regulations. Ensures the completion of administrative work such as time and attendance records, personnel actions and training; ensuring all forms are completed and correct on a timely basis. Monitors contracts and purchase agreements. Assists director with long range planning and capital expenditure budgets in order to meet AF goals and standards. Assist with preparation of NAF income and Expense budgets along with reviewing and making adjustments to monthly statements ensuing that they are correct and in line with budgets. Responsible for oversight of all aspects of financial, personnel and facility records and ensures they are kept IAW set guidelines and policies. Ensures consolidated cost center and cash reports are complete and accurate. Conducts surprise cash counts for all facilities IAW established procedures. Provides training on cash handling and assures all funds and related documents are processed IAW cash handling accountability procedures. Assists director in responsibility for the smooth, efficient and profitable operations of the marina complex achieving all set standards. Evaluates and recommends to ODR Director, enhancements or process improvements before implementing. Serves as HAZMAT, HAZCOM, HAZWASTE, and safety coordinator. Responsible for all aspects of resale and property inventory and disposition. Serves as weapons safety representative and vehicle control officer. Coordinates with squadron logistics manager for DRMO and NAF sales. Assists in monitoring and editing social media accounts. Prepares and monitors personnel and payroll documents on all complex employees. Creates schedules to assure all shifts are covered and procedures and guidelines are followed. Assures all employees receive training both mandatory/optional and have resources to perform duties. Supervises, assigns tasks, evaluates, and provides feedback on NAF employee's performance. Recommends disciplinary actions and takes corrective action as needed. Uses desktop computer to create routine memos, spreadsheets, and power point presentations. Experience:
Must have management and accounting experience to include working with personnel, funds, contracts, budget, and cash accountability. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform at the level as described in the duties and responsibilities. Working knowledge of Outdoor Recreation activities and equipment to include but not limited to i.e., boating, camping, camping equipment, and recreational vehicles. Must be proficient in computer word processing, software, and office equipment use. Work experience must show the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Must have supervisory or leader experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
